Voice Training Exercises
Music has been on earth for who knows how many years already, but all we know is that it existed even before our ancestors learned their first syllable. All of us know how to appreciate music. Whatever genre that we like, we celebrate the music in us by partying, tapping our feet, snapping our fingers, swaying our bodies and dancing with the beat. And of course, we mostly celebrate music through singing.
We all love to sing. Proof number one, who doesn’t sing in the bathroom while taking your shower. Proof number two, you sing in the office especially when you are in a very good mood (well if no one else is around anyway). Proof number three, karaoke bars are HUGE in popularity, really who does not love a good karaoke bar. However there is a big difference between a good voice and just plain noise. You may feel like singing and you can sing all you want, after all it is a free country, but hey it would be much more appreciated and enjoyed if you did not see your friends covering their ears, dozing off or worse, walking out of the room. So if you don’t want these things to happen, you really should consider taking voice lessons and start right now.
Voice training exercises comprise of various forms. All of those forms help you to be in tune with your music, make your voice strong and audible without the need to shout, make you practice proper breathing while singing, how to reach high and low notes without struggling and comprising your voice quality and how to breathe in the “rests” between phrases. It is important to get help from professionals through these exercises rather than practicing your songs just by yourself. Because you may not know that you are already pushing your voice too hard causing damage to your vocal chords.
Taking voice training exercises may sound sissy but believe me it is a good lifetime investment. Voice training exercises do not cost much, in fact they are affordable and you will only pay once with online courses and yet results will last a lifetime – you can sing all your favorite songs, but instead of watching your friends walk out of the room, they will be clapping their hands for you and beg you to sing more! And do not settle with your thoughts of “my voice if good enough” or “my voice is too bad that there are no lessons that will be able to help me with it”. Instead focus on the thought “how can I improve my voice?” which will definitely help you to get motivated in starting with your voice lessons. Over the time, your voice will develop and the microphone will be your best friend!
